Altitude and Azimuth of a Celestial Body for an Assumed Position

This application calculates the Altitude (Hc) and Azimuth (Az) of a Celestial Body as observed in a specific Location.

Location   Geographical Position
Latitude  N/S  dd-mm.m   Dec  N/S dd-mm.m
Longitude  E/W ddd-mm.m   GHA  ddd-mm.m

    Altitude / Azimuth

CNP: Celestial North Pole
P: Position of the Celestial Body on the Celestial Sphere
Z: Zenith of the Observer

The Azimuth (Az) is measured from the North branch of the Celestial Meridian at the observer's location (Z) towards the Position of the Celestial Body (P) from 000° at the Meridian clockwise through 360°.
